What does pre-approved for an auto-loan mean?

I applied online with my bank for an autoloan for a used vehicle. about 30 minutes later it said i was pre-approved for an autoloan and gave me the terms etc. it said that i would recieve the pre-approve agreement via mail in a couple days. does this mean the loan is as good as gotten? i'm confused about it.

Hello, I am curious as to how my auto insurance policy would cover body damage to my car. I have comprehensive/collision coverage, as it is only a few years old and still owed by the bank. I accidentally ran into the side of my garage, and the front right side and bumper have scratches/dents in it. The nearest body shop quotes average in the 1800 dollar range for repairs, which I don't have. Can someone have life insurance on me without my consent?

My inlaws are crazy. No not like wacky like mean, vindictive, you wouldn't believe it crazy. My husband purchased a sport car about 4 years ago, evidentially my inlaws started a life insurance / disability policy on him. The bill for some reason gets mailed to us, but they pay it. When asked about it they said they got it incase my husband killed himself in his car. Can you take out a policy on an adult, over 18 years of age, without consent?
